2023 Didactic Series: Reneé Despres, PhD

Dr. Reneé Despres, joins us Sept. 20 for a lecture designed to assist healthcare providers with their communication skills in patient interactions. Attendees will:

• Review best practices in health literacy to improve patient communication and care
• Explore how low health literacy continues to hamper COVID-19 prevention and mitigation efforts
• Learn about how the “Salud y Vida con Amigos” program serves as a model for health literacy training to improve public health preparedness and response in a low-income, rural setting.
