Dr. Roberto Martinez, Interim Health Equity Director at the New Mexico Department of Health, will be joining us April 19th at noon for an informative lecture on strengthening health equity in New Mexico.
After participating in this session, attendees should be able to:
- Understand the definition of Health Equity
- Understand the State Health Improvement Plan Process
- Understand community engagement as a key strategy to advance health equity
- Understand the continuum of levels of community engagement
- Understand the principles of Community Based Participatory Research and the principles of Collective Impact
- Apply Community Based Participatory Approach principles to the statewide referral system process in NM
