The New Mexico Primary Care Training Consortium (NMPCTC) is excited to announce the creation of the Outstanding Graduating Resident Award. The inaugural recipient will be awarded during their residency program’s graduation ceremony.

This award recognizes a medical resident graduating from a New Mexico-based primary care residency program who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarly accomplishments, and efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout their residency.

Members of the NMPCTC Board of Directors will review applications and determine the award recipient. The nomination period opens April 14, 2022 and closes April 29, 2022. Guidelines and nomination form can be found on the NMPCTC website.

“The residents in New Mexico put in so much hard work, we thought it was time to recognize those who go above and beyond,” said Nicole Mandall, Director of Operational Development at the NMPCTC. “This award will highlight one resident who stands out as a future leader for primary care in New Mexico!”
