The Christus St. Vincent Family Residency Program responds to a critical need for physicians in rural areas of the sate. Since the inception of the CSVFMRP, 71% of its residents remain in New Mexico.
LAS CRUCES
The Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency Program (aka Memorial Medical Center Family Medicine Residency) was established in 1996 and since then has placed over 50% of its graduates in New Mexico and west Texas, many in the immediate area.

SILVER CITY
Hidalgo Medical Services, a federally-qualified health center with 20 years of experience as a frontier and rural training hub, has launched the first Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) program in New Mexico as New Mexico’s first Teaching Health Center.
